- The party continued to fight in a courtyard area under the shade of a “wamping willow” type tree.
- Thunderbird Fleshgorger AKA Gordy was struck down by a big barbarian looking dude named Tyler.
- The automaton hid something in his chest that looked like a “golden snitch.”
- A German shepherd looking dog watched the action from the bushes, his eyes looked like a nebula, his fur looked like space.
- The fight raged, the automoton went down, the “golden snitch” flew out of its chest heading towards the city of Sharn.
- The space dog spoke to Ein, “The Daughters of Sora Kell must be stopped.”
- NOTE: Sora Kell is an old entity with 3 daughters, something about the silver flame, and also the Lords of Dust must be stopped from passing into Eberron…something…The Silver flame is a metaphysical barrier for all Eberron
- Luca was taken out of fighting shape as his is severed leg was flung towards Ein.
- A gnome warlock by the name of Ta’rok, surveyed the battle.
- NOTE: Gordy is a member of Storm’s Hammer; a criminal organization in Sharn.
- The party inspected the battlefield, found some interesting things including a letter and a small key card in a secret compartment in the wagon of Dane D'Cannith. Presumably the key is the “package” our party was hired to transport.
Etch the words of Lazarus upon your heart, the tempest-tossed masses breathe free their imprisoned lighting and set their souls ablaze to light the lamp, ever watchful of the golden door. Set your hearts against the voice of tyranny.
-- Letter found in the wagon of Dane D'Cannith
- Out of nowhere Rithalla Mhriane held a gun at backs, she wanted the key card, what a bitch.
- After a bit of argument Ta'rok killed Rithalla.
- The city appeared to be under attack, presumably to acquire the key card, however it did not appear to be a very large / competent effort
- We decided to move forward with our mission, our best option is to head to Sharn through the Maple Blood Forest. It should take 3 days. But first, House Ghallanda has inns / taverns / protection. We decided to pay the high fee and stay for the night before heading out.
- Gordy took Luca to the local Eberron fantasy hospital. He will, however, return to discuss some things with us.
- Meanwhile, we found a contraband House Sivis listening device hidden in our room. We destroy it.
- Gordy returned to our room to speak with us. He wanted us to give the key to his brother, Kyle Fleshgorger. After some further questioning & insight we agreed to trust him. Gordy also knows Professor Preston Digitation
- NOTE: Rumor has it that this key card is the key to the House Cannith Creation Forge in Sharn.
- Gordy wants us to bring the key to his brother, Kyle, who is currently also in Sharn. He will meet us at place called Richard’s Bar. We need to take the key, get the Professor , and meet at the bar in 4 days. We agreed.
Sorry dudes, at about this point I was getting tired and distracted. My notes went from the usual amount of trash to extra trash.
- Something about a dude called Cirrus Sprigthorn, a name mentioned by Gordy. Preston Digitaion studied under Cirrus.
- Gordy has a…black card? He slaps that down on the table…he was paying for drinks. We are all impressed.
- Gordy made it clear that if the creation force is started again, it will reignite the last war. A significant number of the Dragonmarked Houses would like this to happen.
- Before turning in for the night the party gets to know each other a bit…
ooops...I didn't write any of this down. Shit. Well, I can tell you what Ze said. And, I have tried to add some of Ein's & Ta'roks details.
Zezeran: As a Kalashtar, a dream spirit called a Quori is part of his “soul”. Ze is the mortal, Zeran is the spirit (naming convention is typical for Kalashtar). The spirit is simultaneously a part of and a separate entity from Ze. It can be a powerful guide in the form of intuition, emotion, and knowledge, but it can also cause great dissonance.
Furthermore, Ze practices his religion, The Path of Light, by seeking & casting out the darkest evils in the world; known as a Shadow Watcher. This is opposed to the common monk-like approach known as Lightbringer; teaching kindness, meditation, & redemption.
Ein: He worked for House Cannith as a "jack of all trades" getter done of things. So, a very capable fancy butler. Ein has no true loyalty to the House.
Ta'rok: Ta'rok came from the East to build a life for himself in Sharn. He was tailing Daask, when he stublmed upon our crew in the town of First Tower. Intrigued by our situation with the mysterious creation forge key, he has decided to adventure with us for a time.
