Session -13-
--
- Don't worry about session 12. You don't need to know about that.
- At Hyperion’s Home…Jeff, the 6 year old (6, 8, 12???) orphan, was hanging out with Ein. He knew Bianca & Ro. They brought him back to Sharn from a carnival.
- Kaleshtar dude at the bar called Dai’Kesh. He told about the Altus (a much better name for this device) and how details were stolen from the Kalestar community before Alais showed up. The Altus needs lots of Kyber Shards to work. There is the possibility to restore Alais to her original self and remove the Inspired. She has been fused with a Black Furry, one of the elite warriors of them Quori.
- Onyx Order guards with Sorin Jr. entered the inn. Ein had a plan to get Sorin to poop and confront him in the bathroom. It worked. Sorin offered him a job that would close out his “indentured servant” contract. Korranberg in Zilargo is where Sorin Sr was last seen. He should find him. Or, alternatively, he can find and kill Merix D’Cannith.
- Bianca entered the bar in her clown costume. She startled Ein and he flipped her onto a table.
- Ta’rok went back to his house to clean up before his date with Trys. His patron offered him some very nice things to reject the Silver Flame. He also promised to take Ta’rok “off the board” should he choose the silver flame over himself.
- Ze checked out Ein’s house to find Hijal. No dice. Some guy in a white lab coat and a big briefcase left with Hijal. Terrance lives there now, so it is not even Ein’s house anymore. The guards don’t seem to give a shit about this particular missing dwarf. Paid to look the other way, it would seem. Local Sharn bar that Hijal and Ze frequented hadn’t seen him either. Sunny Smiles, her dog named Angel Hair, and bartender Vic are pretty cool people.
- Ein spoke with Bianca. They have issues. Ein is pissed Bianca didn’t trust him with the truth and keep in contact. Bianca has a lead on Haywood’s whereabouts, but it seems to be the same as Sorin Jr’s lead…Korranberg (aka Cornberg). Ein showed Bianca Haywood’s notebook. Bianca saw the ward and wanted to crack it with House Kundarack’s specialty. Ein had not yet forgiven her. (But he would be wise to do so if Ze has anything to say about it.) Did Twinkle the dog show up?
- Gen Z words like rizz, cap, drip, bet…exist.
- Ta’rok on a date with Trys headed to the folk music concert. They rode a wizard piloted by a griffin as they ate a flower arrangement. At the show Ta’rok “purchased” a locket that turned out to be his sisters’, family photo and all. He psyched out some dip shit Pancake Mamma guy by starting off into he distance and swiping his face proclaiming, "I’m just here for a good time.” Later a dude with golden hair shows up and is mysterious and suspicious in the crowd. Ta’rok causally gets him and Trys out of there.
- Ze finally made it to the Sweet Spot to see his sis after the big battle. Orin (blue scale dragonborn who works with Cirin) handed Ze a book. This book is called “Of Tender Shadow.” Ze opened the book to a dog eared page. He messed himself up pretty good and is magically restrained. Alais appeared from the form that was Orin. She now has two forms, one corporeal in nature and one of shadow. The corporeal from appears to be the evil Inspired, while the shadow form seems to be the real Alais that Ze remembers.
- A very one sided battle takes place. Alais beats the crap out of Ze. All the while Ze is reliving memories of their life together, but they are changing to darker versions in his mind.
- Ze was defeated. He fell to his knees. Alais stood over him holding a twisted long sword above his head. The shadow Alais embraced Ze as it seemed he was about to die.
- Outside the bakery the Storm’s Hammer guard, Ronin, tore off her mask as a relatively drunken Ein & Ta’rok ran up to the building. Ronin is Ro, Ze’s older sister! Ro shifted into an Owlbear. The three of them headed into the bakery.
