Session -5-
--
- It was during this part of our adventure that we discovered our party's call sign & album name: Quiver of Bullets
- On the Plane of Sheberoth in The Heart of Siberus (aka The Plane of Battle)…Ta‘rock found himself banished only to witness insanity. Mr Puzzels (a demon-like figure) rode a unicycle with some extra wheel wings…Ta’rok ate some ants that encircled Kevin’s severed head…Ta’rock ate the head too…a woman’s voice spoke, “Kathona is the key for cleansing.”
- A moment later Ta’rok appeared back in the material plane. His form was demonic, but that visage slowly dissolved into his common form. As Ze recovered from the fight, Ta’rok explained himself, big picture, to a questioning Ein. There was probably more to discuss, but the immediate adventure required our attention.
- The party encountered and spoke with the cosmic dog, Twinkle. We were refreshed by the power of his magic. Sora Kell is serving Dark Bloom, a lense of creation gives a unifying anchor to the six parts of a soul, and what said lense can manifest it can also un-manifest.
- The party solved a puzzle and discussed the infamous Owlin figure, Adolf Hootler, who may or may not actually exist.
- In a large chamber we discovered a temple. Sneaking around, we saw through a temple window, a couple of bugbears accompanied by Kolle D’Cannith. Ein deeply disliked this guy. Everything was quiet and sneaky until Ze accidentally broke the glass window and the fighting began.
- It was a good fight, death was close, but we prevailed. Ta’rok displayed abilities involving a dark magic mask and moth like antennae. Ein unleashed the power of lighting upon all our enemies to great effect. Ze fought on the front lines with a magical berserker barbarian bearing the form of our fallen friend, Gordy.
- Inside the chapel there was a statue of a Leech Dragon. Ein found a magical gun-like artifact. Presumably, this is what Kolle was searching for.
- As the party continued to search for the schema, we came to a large chamber with a scorched obsidian looking stone everywhere…strangely reminiscent of the plane in which we first saw Dark Bloom.
- Out of the dim light came a Leech Dragon. It was attached by way of umbilical cord to another dragon. This second creature, in some parts incorporeal, was giving birth to small monkey-like demon creatures. The whole situation was very fleshy, vile, and metal as hell.
- We battled until we were able to sever the umbilical chord (which seemed to us like as good a thing to do as any). At which time the dragons disappeared only to be replaced with a branch of Dark Bloom erupting from the floor beneath our feet.
- Again we battled. And again we prevailed. Ta’rok scored the killing blow as he beat the foul demon tree back with his eldrich magic.
- As we explored the cavern we entered a door, marked with the symbol of a tree, that required the forge key to open. Within the room we found a few magical artifacts. And something we believe to be the item we had been searching for; a six sided star, the warforged schema.
